Who supplies your medicine
Medicines are sold and supplied by licensed pharmacies, not by Dozio. Each pharmacy is responsible for what it dispenses and for following the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and its rules.
Prescription medicines
Prescription-only medicines are ordered by sending a photo of a valid prescription from a registered medical practitioner. They cannot be added to a cart.
The pharmacist reads the prescription before quoting. They may ask for a clearer photo, quote only what the prescription supports, or decline the request.
A prescription must show the patient's name, the date, the medicines with their strength and dosage, and the prescriber's name, registration number and signature.
Substitutes
A pharmacy may offer a substitute with the same composition and strength. It is listed against the original item in the quote, and nothing is supplied until you accept the quote.
What cannot be ordered
Narcotic and psychotropic medicines, and medicines the law does not allow to be supplied at a distance, cannot be ordered through Dozio.
A pharmacy may refuse any order it believes is unsafe, unlawful or not supported by the prescription.
Your prescription photos
Prescription photos are shown only to the pharmacy handling your request and to Dozio staff who handle support. They are kept with the order as a dispensing record.
These policies are written in plain English. If anything here is unclear, ask support.
